my white silkie is turning yellow around the neck what is causing this .

She might be turning yellow because her neck got stained. For example, some poultry vitamins are a yellow/orange color, and if you use them, they can drip down a birds neck when it drinks and turn it yellow. The sun, or too much corn in the feed, can cause yellowness too, called "brassiness". Also, some birds just get a little yellow as they age. One of my white birds was quite white as a pullet, but is now has a tinge of yellow in her feathers.
