I have just hatched out some Muscovy ducks. I couldn't understand why they kept drying out with the goo, and kept adding more water, so making it maximum humid. I had to help quite a bit, but thankfully 10/14 hatch rate. I am very pleased for my first Muscovy hatching, though I have been hatching other ducks for years.
Your explanation has been very helpful, I will adjust next round.
