Disgusted and angry....

Found some tracks, I found two sets they came from the woods so I’m not sure about dogs. They seems a little big to be dogs but I could be wrong. The tracks are huge! Might make a call to DNR. I tried to get clear pictures.View attachment 1454810View attachment 1454807View attachment 1454806 View attachment 1454803View attachment 1454801 View attachment 1454797
I can't distinguish enough toes for canines. Are you seeing distinct toe prints, maybe with nail prints, as well?

I circled the distinct toes and pad.

Duuuuude. :(

I'm so sorry this happened. It sucks, but chickens are definite prey animals and taste great. If you let them free-range, you'll lose some. If the predator is a dog, you'll lose most.

You said you lost all of your pullets and cockerels. If you plan to build a new flock, try an electric fence. @Howard E has some great advice on electric fencing. It'll be the quickest and most effective means of protecting your flock.

Those tracks look big enough to be a large dog or a young wolf. I don't think it was any experienced hunter because then it would have eaten more than just one bird or at least cherry picked it's favorite parts from multiple birds. It had to have been a pack of dogs or a immature group of wolves or coyotes, any other pack of animals would have eaten the majority of the birds killed.
