Possible Bobcat ( behavior unusual )

I'm so sorry for your losses. We're currently dealing with a bobcat situation too. We're just south of Memphis, in Mississippi.
It's incredibly frustrating to say the least!

Yes it sure is. How many have you lost to the bobcat?
I am sorry you are now dealing with it.

We've lost 7 (of 13). Our neighbor about a half a mile away lost 23 in 2 nights! And it left all of them behind... Like it is killing for sport.
And it's interesting that you said it resembled a hyena! I said the exact same thing!

More often than not they'll grab one and disappear. Have you had bob cat attack your flock before and if so how long ago ?THanks!

Sounds like a serval.Maybe someones pet escaped? Its legal to own a serval in certain states, including Alabama, Idaho, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wisconsin without a license. In other states, ownership may require a permit or be completely illegal.
(I'm not certain if the list of states is current)

Servals are also called Savannah's.They can jump 19-12 ft in the air .Here's a picture of one that went missing in NH but was found 3 days later
