Disinfecting run

We had 6 chicken for less than a week in our new coop/run. We discovered they were sick and they have been moved. They had micro plasma.

My question is, there was very little poop in the coop/wood and I scooped the poop in the run daily so that was semi-clean still. We are also disinfecting all the containers. I have bleached the wood and I have removed alot of the dirt from the run and have saturated what's what's left an apple-cider vinegar solution.

Is there any other recommendations for the remaining dirt in the run to disinfect it. We are going to be adding back more dirt also.

I have no idea WHAT Micro Plasma in chickens is.
I think you did a thorough cleanup for whatever you are dealing with. Bleach does a great job of killing bacteria,and other nasties.

Where were they moved to?
Mycoplasma?
Were birds necropsied and lab tested for diagnosis.
How old were birds?

I think you did a good job. Really you can't do to much to disinfect dirt. Once adding more dirt on top should be good.

I know with my own personal experience with Marek's disease that you cannot remove it from the soil without scraping off the first 7 or more inches of soil from the area and disposing of it.

I would suggest that you do a google search for how long MP lasts in soil and what it's life is on all other objects. Keep in mind that it can potentially be anywhere and everywhere due to the nature of contagious viruses and bacterial infection. Personally I would be worried about it penetrating wood services.

So sorry to hear that you are going through this. I suggest you do as much research into Myco Plasma as you can,

So were your birds tested?...before you moved them where?
