Hi, i recently got 5 mallard duckling eggs and it’s been a little over a month since they hatched. I had them in a bin for a few weeks before i was able to move them outside and 3 of them have hurt their legs. I think they must have dislocated something in their knee/ankle joint. I think they already healed out of place and they walk with a limp. One of them is worse than the other two and was much smaller too, but has gotten a little bigger the past few days. His/her leg looks worse then the other two though. I’m not sure if they’re in pain but they are all eating and drinking still. They just can walk very well:( I don’t know what to do please help:(((((

They have not had any vitamins:/
Here is the video link, idk if it worked. The three in the back are injured.

Duckling if feed chick starter need to be supplemented with niacin it is essential for proper leg and muscle growth. It maybe too late for your little ones but if they are not in any pain I’d just leave them alone they sure are moving around fast to be handicapped. I would start giving them a b complex vitamin daily to keep any further complications from happening. You can buy liquid b complex at most feed stores it will be in the cattle department and will say injectable but just peel off the foil and use a 1 ml dropper or syringe and squirt this over a daily treat if 3 are injured then 3 ml. Give this daily till fully feathered.

i will try to look into this thank you. And yes i think they’re injured because they’re leg hurt leg looks quite different from they’re other one. It’s been a lot 3ish weeks so it might just be too late :/ hanks for the help though i appreciate the advice with the supplements. If they get worse i’ll update :(

no, i think it’s because they were in a small area with eachother and just “trampled” over eachother. they’re legs don’t look so good though, i’d love to just take them to the vet but i don’t have the money. Other than vitamins is there anything i can do to help them?
