Dislocated Hip?? and Wonky Chick

UPDATE!

Seems like the B-Complex is working. Midget is really back to normal. She is squawking and pecking and running away from me again, almost back to her normal spunky self.

Mary Lou has been up on her good leg and starting to move around a bit on her own. She still takes a few steps and rests, but wont put all her weight on the bad leg yet. But prognosis looks good!

I moved them to a new two story coop I just bought with one of my other ladies "Cupcake" who is molting HARD and could use the extra protein food too. After Cupcake finishes her molt, I am going to put her and Midget back in the main coop. I am hoping since they will be friends, the others wont pick on Midget so hard (she has been out of the coop now for 3+ weeks and the others have forgotten who she is). Mary Lou will be moving to a grow-out area that has a low roost. She will be in with some babies who will be about 3 or 4 weeks and will be able to be-friend them and take as much time as she needs to fully recover. This is my on-going plan at least... we shall see how it all works out.

And on the plus side... their recovery leads me to think it's not virus/infectious. No one else has come down with anything odd either and its been about 3 weeks since Mary Lou was injured and at least 4 weeks since Midget started acting off (the day I dropped the food on her head).

Unfortunately Midget looks to be off again. https://photos.app.goo.gl/XoHywE2jNXFmyb2s9 I gave them all some cat food and she was not interested. She did attempt to run from me, but has been standing slightly puffed up otherwise. I did notice some mites on her yesterday, and treated everyone with Permethrin II spray last night. But I see more on her this morning up by her head, So i will be doing a full dip this evening and she will spend the night inside by the fire.

Do you guys think these weird episodes might be related to the mites?

Mites would weaken your flock, that's a good point. Do you have a place for them to dust bathe?
Yeah, they have tons of "dust holes" they've made in my yard (they free range in a 2 acre area). I just orders some permithrin dust to add to their dust holes, just in case

😂Love it 'dust holes'.. ok that's good. I wonder why they have mites, are they using them?
Yeah, they use them or at least most of them do. I will admit I dont think I've seen Midget dust bathe tho - not to say she doesnt, but she is a little handy capped - so she might not, or atleast not very well.
