I have a pullet who seems to have a dislocated wing. She's moving slowly, didn't roost this evening and her right wing does not feel like it's in its socket. Any advice? I do have a vet but it's a holiday week and am not sure if I can get her in. Thank you.

If you think the wing is out of socket, it would be best to seek vet care.

Here's some information about splinting - you may find that helpful:

I don't know if you realize it, but you've provided just two sentences of information. This would be fine, if we were there and could see the pullet, feel the wing, observe her as she tries to stand and try to balance and walk. We would be able to see her posture and get an idea of how she feels and if she's in pain from being able to observe her in real time.

But you are the only one there who can tell us these things we need to know in order to try to help. So try to draw us as complete a picture as possible of what leads you to believe her wing is hurt.

And speaking of pictures, it is said one picture is worth a thousand words. So posting a photo or video would be very helpful. Help us to help you.

OK. Thank you for your replies. I will try to photograph her and give you some more information tomorrow as she's resting now and I'm getting ready to go to bed as well.
