Hello everyone. I have posted on a few FB groups with no luck so I’m trying here.
4 days ago I noticed my OE wasn’t herself.
Lethargic, open mouth breathing (only for 1 day), eyes dilating strangely, crop empty, not eating much but she is drinking. I assumed egg bound at first. I tried to feel the egg but I do not feel anything. Soaked her in an epsom salt bath just be safe. Vent is pulsing but not red. Maybe a little swollen. After checking her vent that day, some yellowish/clear liquid came out. But she had drank a lot of water with electrolytes in it. Also crushed up some tums on eggs but she didn’t eat much of it. It is not coccidiosis as I had a fecal test done. Some poop is normal when she eats, some is a more watery with a little yellow tinge.
She just seems totally out of it and I don’t know what to do! I had her isolated for 3 days but brought her out today just to see what would happen. She will walk around for a bit then just stands and blank stares. Looks at me when I say her name. She’s always been a spaz! When I found her like this she was totally normal that morning. I was only gone 2 hours. There was a small pile of feathers in the run I didn’t think much about at the time but who knows.
Does anyone have any ideas? I’m at a total loss and it’s breaking my heart!!!
