The Crazy Chicken Lady
I guess my pride in asking is only part of the problem. I also fear that in asking, I could end up buying something other than a peachick from someone intent on making a profit from novices like myself who cant tell the difference.
Me: Are those peachicks?
Unsavory seller: These? Uhh. . . sure are.
Me: Cool, I'll take 6
Chicks: (6 months later) gobble gobble
Me: . . .. . . crap![]()
LOL Don't feel bad! I had a customer come here to buy birds and she was a newbie at it but had owned them for almost 2 years. She told me that she bought Guineas 6 months prior from a local "reputable" breeder that we both knew and 2 months after she realized one was not a Guinea but rather a turkey! Some people advertise that they are knowledgeable but asking around you will probably find out differently. Just because they have money doesn't mean they are honest or knowledgeable. And just because they look the part doesn't make them a better breeder or seller.
