    Hi All!!!

My 4 chickens seem to be distressed and they don't seem to want to go into their home! I have had them for a few weeks now and they have been routinely going into their coup when it starts getting dark all by themselves, but the passed 2 nights they have seemed very distressed and it has taken me the best part of an hour to get them to go into their home. Anyone any ideas as to what is happening and how I can help them?

    Thanks very much.

Sounds to me like a mite infestation. When they don't want to go into their coop, it could be because of mites biting them. Check at night for mites, they will be on the birds, all over the coop, on the perches, etc.

Edited to say. There is a link in my signature about mites and lice.
