I have a sportsman 1502 incubator with hatching tray at the bottom. oftentimes I have two "groups" of the same breed in the incubator and was wondering if anyone has found a way to divide the hatcher to keep chicks separated? i put a cardboard divider down the middle, but they've jumped it. The trays rotate past the top of the hatcher, so putting a divider and lid isnt really an option. any thoughts?

Delicates laundry bags at WalMart. I use them on every hatch. Put the egg in, close the zipper, hatch, mark chicks, place in brooder. Great system.

Good luck!!

that's a great idea, I would have never thought of that! you havent had any problems with chicks getting feet or beaks stuck in the little mesh holes?

no I have not but might be a good idea to keep an eye on them. I've been using them for two years.

i'm going to give it a shot next time! thank you so much, i appreciate it! i knew there had to be a simple solution
