Dixie Chicks

I finally came up with the perfect solution for my otherwise really sweet just turned 2yrs old red sex link "boss" hen that was terrorizing my Aussies and was being especially brutal to my very sweet hen named Pepper. Talked to my friend and neighbor this morning and I'm giving the brat to her! She will be on the bottom of the pile over there AND she has the Aussie roo I gave her last year that has turned out to be really super at his job of taking care of her hens and should be able to teach my brat some manners.
This also gives me a bit of room for new birds in the fall AND without worrying about her to attack them. My neighbor also has lost a a couple birds over the winter so it's a win/win.

@hennible. Do you use the tops and bottoms of those walking onions? What's the flavor difference? I plan on ordering them with the multiplier onions. We grew some nice early cantaloupe a couple years ago, don't remember the name, about the size of soft balls. Sugar baby watermelons did real good to, we never thought you could grow melons with our short growing season.

I'm planting the tops and bottoms of the walking onions, got them outta an old friends garden, have not eaten any yet. The cantaloupe could have been Minnesota midget, they are about that big beer can.

What kind of onions are you all planting, as in sets, seeds, or plants. We usually buy plants from Dixon Farms. I've never had mine flower, grow about the size of a baseball above ground completely, tops die and their ready and then it snows.
I want to try multiplier onions next year, you can only order them in the fall. They grow like potatoes and are good keepers.

Im growing "Vidalia" onions. I think its an heirloom variety grown in Georgia. Idk

So any one getting their emails?

Oh, I don't think I have been getting any notifications.

My grandmother grew those, I liked them, tried growing them up here once, didn't work.
