Lowe's sells 700 square foot (7' x 100'-I think) for $15.00. I have my pullet pen covered with it. I originally used cable ties to attach it together, then ended up having to go back and stitch it together because it's only 3' off the ground and the pullets kept sneaking out. Anyway, the only issues I have found so far is leaves, branches, and snow, ice will be an issue here soon.

Thanks, I didn't know they had such stuff. I was going to get some plastic chicken fencing from TSC and piece it together, that sounds easier.

I have to share with you all what happened on my way home from work. I work in a very small town. It's all country and farm land around there. Anyway, on the way home, there was a very tall person dressed like a scary clown with a sign that said

"FREE HUGS!"

It was scary, but I laughed! I didn't stop for hugs though.

Havta check that out also. I used regular chicken wire on my other run just cause I had it. Its on a four foot fence and yeah snow and ice about caves it in. I think I'm going to put a plastic roof and sides on it this winter, with a peak to keep the snow off of course.

Beer Can,

I tore up lots of netting and such, tried plastic and cotton rope fish net (free of course )

I now use and love the concrete reenforcing wire... Strong wire, needs no supports, I think 4x4 holes. Snow can NOT make it sag or break, awesome.

For my bantams I put a layer of chicken wire on top of the concrete reenforcing wire.... Perfect set up.

Ohio State students are in trouble for "inappropriate signs". I guess during move in day some college guys hung up banner signs saying "Drop off freshman girls Here" and "Dad's, don't worry! We'll take it from here" and "Daughter Daycare". Oooommmm! I thought it was funny, but I didn't have to drop off my daughter there either. If so, I probably would've felt differently.

Back on the job hunt again. Got told by the boss yesterday there are no full time positions available for awhile. Downsizing. Banks don't need tellers these days because of mobile banking, direct deposits, and debit cards. I didn't get laid off or anything, but my promises of full time was flushed down the toilet. Oh well! Leaving my last job was hard. This one, not so much. Only been there 6 months and don't have friends or ties to anyone. Wish me luck.
