Dixie Chicks

My eggs, standard black Ameraucanas and bantam wheaten ameraucanas

Super snazzy shipped eggs: bantam white leghorns, standard rose comb white leghorns, and standard rose comb dark brown leghorns.

Last I checked:
7 of my black Ams
3 of my bantam Ams
5!!!!!!! Of the bantam shipped leghorns
2 of the dark brown shipped leghorns, and one of those is a really big fat nugget of fluff for a leghorn. :gig

Nah... I looked. ;)

A few more hatched. One dark brown with more blood than I would like, but looks OK, and already fluffed and pretty chipper. One other dark brown has a bit of a bloody and :sick navel. It might be OK... Not a clear cull. I stuck it in a tiny cup and back in the incubator, so that the chick trample wouldn't kill him.

I also took a second to wash off (with a bit of paper towel soaked in hot water) the bloody goo smeared all over three eggs, and checked to make sure that three pips in shipped eggs were still alive and breathing, then closed it back up.

newest hatchling juicy lucy :)

Way to go!
