Alaskan, how's the predator issue? Mine all made it thru the night as far as I can tell. Last night was the 1st night in weeks that I didn't set my alarm to wake me up to check every 2 hours. I got 5 hours of solid sleep! Had to, or I'd be fighting off sandman at work today.

In regards to breeding......I have 2 cuckoo marans (brothers). I will be breeding them with my Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers. Does anyone see any difference as to why I should choose one over the other?

Aside from 2 having lost a piece of his comb this past winter, they are about the same temperment wise, and such.

Predator wise... So far so good... But I wish I could get all of the babies..... None so far


As to breeding, I can't tell from the photos... Do either or both have some brown in them?

I also can't tell chest, leg placement, and tail angle.

You want good straight legs, placed far enough apart, nice wide hips, and a good tail set.

No brown in them. Their tails don't impress me. I'm hoping when they molt, they will finally grow nice tail feathers.
