Dixie Chicks

ok I have kinda a weird question and might be confusing to ask so bare with me... say if you have two roosters and one hen... she lays an egg monday and rooster A is the father and the next day she lays an egg can it be rooster B who is the dad then?

I have heard that it takes fourteen days for a hen to be free of a roos sperm... So if you switch roos out without waiting.... You will get some of each till the original sperm is used up.

For this chick it was six weeks previously last that the hen had been exposed to the Light Brahma roo. She was then relegated to the BLRW breeder flock and the Seller sent me an egg that I had to ask her what the backstory was on why my pure BLRW egg hatched out feathered feet. SIX WEEKS!

I imagine it is like dogs, one litter can have multiple fathers if the female dog is running around.

Same for cats
exactly why I wondered if chickens could be the same way.......

@perchie.girl so thats if the roosters are seperate what if they are together? or will only the dominant breed the hens?
my dog the first time.... I had him put down... for a whole bunch of OTHER reasons. But my Rosie was a good girl with the chickens.

No it was Coyoties that took my flock last time... Raccoons got the Tween agers.... I missed an important spot on the chainlink of the coop and they were coming in as if there was a door just for them.

I have lost four flocks now to mostly Coyote and bobcat predation. when I got some more chicks to raise up my Roomate said.. "So you going to kill another batch"

That phrase alone struck me just the other day.... sob.... But I was able to keep chickens for a good two years each time... So I do know what to do.
