I have a son in Louisville, KY and have been trying to plan a trip down to Nashville from there. If I get down that way, do you want some eggs?
@NotAFarm what kind of feed do you feed your chickens? and everyone else............
btw has anyone seen @Alaskan I am getting worried ... maybe after the nighmare the spouse locked em into a cage?
I feed Purina Startena free choice. It is a gamebird starter that has 30% protein. I feed oyster shell free choice. They get meal worms (dried or home raised), fermented whole and cracked grains, sprouted grains/seeds and whatever scraps from the house or garden I think they'll eat.
Yes, hovering is required for eggs to hatch!Sheesh, this thread moves fast!!
No hatchlings yet on my bator. Going to go hover though. Because that helps the eggs hatch![]()
They are both pullets.....The white one we renamed La-a. the dash ain't silent! (la dash uh) she is a polish. The other one is a cuckoo Marans; Her name is Cocoa. They are loners by choice. That tree is an old oak!Are they both cockerels? Are they loners by choice or are they run-off by the flock? They look perfectly happy among the trees! What kind of tree is that with the mottled bark?
