Hi all!

First day of a two-day snow here. I don't wanna go out in it, but I should take the chooks their treats. Plus the 3 RSL's are at POL -- bright red combs and wattles -- that I want to get that very first egg.. (someday...they've been leading me on for a couple of weeks)

Sleep aid of choice? I put on the CPAP and it's just white noise and then zzzzzzzzzz. IF it's a truly cannot sleep (due to chocolate or sugar) I'll futz at the computer. IF there's still no sleep then a halfie shot of Nyquil. Bad, I know, but it's VERY seldom that just donning the CPAP doesn't work.

My RSL's (RIR x SLW) have rose combs that end in an upward point... Looks like little elf hats.

Hey @Alaskan , about that bator... the 2 I have to choose from are styro types, but both have been champs at holding temp... just wanted you to know what kinds they are... I'd ship it, no prob btw...

Just gotta clean my new, used hatcher and test it this weekend...

Yeah, it's a bit tough to follow, but pretty fun. One accent I really like too is the Minnesotan accent. It sounds like a person speaking it couldn't hurt a fly.

Just like to pay it forward and we got really lucky... Jim bought me a cabinet bator for xmas and the guy who had it decided he wanted all of his stuff to go to the same place... he had a waterfowl breeding op for a long time, passed from his dad... got a 3 tray hatcher to match the cabinet for less than 100...
