I love the idea and info sharing here... on average people in TN are friendly and considerate, but ask anything about animal raising or gardening tips and they act like everything is a trade secret! Look at you like you were asking what the combo was to their safe! lol

The cool thing about really green tomatoes is you can flavour your canning how ever you like... Because they don't have a strong flavor really just a bit of acidity... Saw a recipe that used strawberry Jell-O with green tomatoes to make mock strawberry jam, also you can make green tomatoe pie with em, suppose to taste like apple pie... I also make green salsa and relish...

If your willing jem could we trade seed in the fall? I need more cold hardy tomatoes...

sure I told you I'd be willing I didnt even realize how many darn seeds I had until I gathered em all together lol

@hennible Adorable duckies! I didn't take a pic, but I managed to hatch 1 duck and it looked just like your Leo... he was sweet too... but got Call ducks in the bator now, hoping for a good hatch... shhhh... don't tell Jim, but trying to convince him to keep a few... I really miss having duck eggs...

She always has cuts and scrapes on her knuckles and fingers so whenever she handles kitty litter or chicks, she wears gloves. She doesn't heal quickly so it's a good idea she came up with.

I am so glad someone asked about the goloves I was trying to figure how to ask politely

Sweet jem, sorry about my short term memory loss . Yeah I seem to have more than I think too... Plus I ordered more and keep buying packs in town... I could probably spare a butt load right now.... What would you like in trade? I have a crazy variety....

ok so I just had a quick jaunt outside to toss some goodies to the chickies and check on the babies.........give em some fresh water and fill their feeder............ so spike was in the nest box laying an egg... Now I thought originally spike was a rooster but nope... anyways it's soo weird to see her laying eggs and everything it seems against nature cuz I still got a wee bit thinks rooster but I KNOW it's a hen anyone every get that? and she laid me a ginorious egg today.. ok not ginormious but large sized she been giving me tiny lil pullet eggs last two days they got large sized........I think patty is having laying anxiety....... she is holding out on the egg unless spike and her are tag teaming every other day.... dotty has been a champ and taken up violets slack an egg every day unless she lays a double yoker then it's a break

we have a community gardebn but it's free for everyone........... everyone gets to take some or plant stuff........... I did a buncha starts last year I will do more this year I just doing my own thing atm
