Dixie Chicks

@chickwhispers Yeah, the horizontal ones would be better, but all of my horizontal nipples are on the inside waterers, so I've only got vertical ones. I'm trying to figure this out with stuff I've got laying around. Also, I'm a bit worried about getting a proper seal reusing the nipples on the outside waterer, but I suppose I can worry about that when they start leaking and not in advance.

@Aliciahess I also want to see bee hive pics! I hope the duck is feeling better by the time you read this.

JWB, Nice score with the glass!

X2 on the pics and duck Aliciahess! And JWB!

On reusing the horizontal nipples if you get all of the sealant off and apply new it shouldn't be a problem. Although next one I make I want to try the gaskets and see how they work. But I imagine what ever you use should be redone every couple of years as nothing holds up forever. Most of the stuff I already had here except for the nipples and the heater cable. I let you know later this year how well it held up though.

The nipples are just screwed in, no seals or glue. I think as long as the thread looks decent they should be okay. I hope the bucket I'm currently using is softer than the plastic in the nipples.

Good Morning Dixie Chicks & Cockerels.

What glorious pictures to see this morning NotAFarm and ChickWhispers. We had a little Pink sky this AM when I took the kids to the bus but no Hoar Frost....yet...sometimes we'll get it later in the day too. But we're going to warm up for the weekend supposedly...above freezing... 34 F to be exactly...oh won't the birdies like that?!

I've been trying my hand at kicking my soda pop habit. Purchased some LaCroix sparkling water. It's pretty good. The kids don't like it of course which means when I reach for a can there might actually still be one there in the box.... So far I like the flavors I've tried. Coconut and Peach-Pear. Any one else trying to get rid of pop this year? New Years Resolutions?
