dunno about their den habits..know some small dogs are hardr to potty train then others but dont know those perticular breeds...is he fixed?

Putting pants on the dog while he's inside might work. But it doesn't work on every dog. I've usually housebroken puppies by letting them out as often as possible, especially after a nap, eating or playing. With a grown specimen it can be harder.

sometimes it can be a need for a vet exam also

Yeah, a snip snap vet visit might do the trick, if you aren't planning on breeding him. There could be some issues with his penis too, might be a good idea to have it checked out, especially if the peeing is a recent development. Or it could be the kidneys if he's started drinking a lot more.

If you get that accomplished, let me know how.  Darn little dog the other day, right after I took him out, went over to little girl's brand new snow boots, hiked his leg & peed like a race horse!  I screamed at him & he just kept peeing!    He is 5 years old.

Can't help with small breeds, they, I swear are extra hard to convince to use the great out doors... Mom's got two small breed dogs and they even have a dog door and access to their own run round-the-clock doesn't stop them from peeing in the house.

Sam, relatively speaking, yeah I've got space for peas. All kinds of herbs I'm interested in too, plus of course the tomatoes and chilis. And root fruits, especially carrots, and egg plant and and and... 

No medicated feed used here.

We integrated the chicks today at 4½ weeks. Emma has been a bit of a poop hole towards them, and Töyhtis seems to think she doesn't need to take care of them anymore, she even resumed laying today.

I might have some herbs... Hmmm maybe just chives... Have to look.

Big dog was doing so good with the chickens she was acting like she was scared of them so I was stupid and left her unattended for a minute and she's scalped one of my roosters butts... He has cut maybe 3 inches long on his rump and he lost all of his big boy plumage and looks hilarious... He will be camped out in the bathtub until further notice... Oh I cleaned the wound of course, he's got electrolytes in his water and some snacks

Better than what I expected. I heard the chicken scream danger and I went the wrong way and just saw this massive amount of feathers. I turn around, screaming at the dog and run the other way, now I am expecting with all the feathers that I am going to have to grab the axe and learn how to kill a bird myself... Thankfully the big dog is a big slow baby, and didn't do much to him before I got there...
