I GOT THE CCLs!!!!!

2 cockrells. Their combs are frostbit and will most likely fall off. We are not showing them, so I don't care

2 year rooster with hen and pullet. He has smooth comb due to frostbite as well. Ohio is tough on the combs! They are in quarantine and adjusting well

. I probably won't sleep all night! I didn't hardly last night. I was all worried that the deal would fall thru. I can't wait to get BLUE EGGS!

I guess I need to get triple layer clothes on, so I can go down stairs and eat lunch.. this is a horrid day off.

(windows were all opened since whatever child started the fire made lots of smoke.)

Sometimes days off are more work than days on!

Outpost...Those look like Jill Rees line ccl males. They are very cream colored. I wouldnt worry about the combs....APA hasnt accepted the proposed standard of perfection anyway. Good looking birds

Congrats!! Were they penned separately before you got them? Will the hen and pullet eggs be fertile by the rooster now?

The cockrells it turns out are related to the pullet.

But the old rooster and the hen are not related to any. I will probably try to sell the 2 cockrells or maybe just get one with the hen and the old roo with the pullet. I just want a bunch of blue laying fluffy headed girls! This is not where I thought I would be at 44 years old............LOL!!!

Hatch some of the Roo and hens eggs while you wait a bit to let the cockerels get a little older, then pick the best cockerel to breed to the hen and sell the lesser cockerel... Just a suggestion...

Got yelled at and embarrassed. then mom called Grandma and complained about the work we did on the mulberry tree. When we left she was all happy... next morning was a different story. I am done with her.... I almost quit BYC too. I pulled all my photos, and made myself stop. Don't even have an avatar anymore.
