I'd check some horse mueslils, you can probably find some with a whole bunch of minerals, and bag mixed with all kinds of other grains goes a long way. Also, poultry vitamins should be pretty easily obtainable. But you might find some sort of mineral supplements quite cheaply as well.

I'll have to shop around some more... LOL, I am hoping I can hold off on shopping for more feed for another 3 weeks.

My ducks are laying eggs in the pond!!! Grrrr
I must have found 12 once I started cleaning out the mud/sludge at the bottom. One was a soft shell and it was like a scary black balloon... Stupid birds.... Oh and stupid me I'm digging it deeper

I saw those pictures on facebook and had a good laugh, husband thought I was nuts. So, eggs in the pond is a possibility, darn, hope my buggers aren't doing that.

I am all for pickled stuff, but feet.. I am out. The 2 1/2 lbs of pickled garlic I have at home are enjoyable tho..

But just me and punky... And my internet chicken peeps know.

Pond is deeper! 4' at the deepest maybe close to 5' at the max water level. I think I hit the water table, the lowest level is filling from below with clean water. Pretty cool. I imbedded a log into one bank so the ducks can perch over the water.

And Felix check it out, why just build a roof over a deck when you can add a bonus room too

It's a construction zone, lots left to do, lots of clean up and finishing work. Mixed concrete for footers today between sessions digging the pond. I am sore.

Except for the fact that I keep thinking of the eggs... Maybe you want it small enough so that you can use a rake to pull out eggs.
