Dixie Chicks

Same here. Was in Aldi's today, eggs $1.50, so I grabbed a dozen to make pickled eggs. Figured what the heck, I'll grab another, wife flipped, "not feeding chickens $50 a month to buy eggs!!" so I put one back....

Well, we've had rain and +3-4C temps (35-40F) all night, and finally so much snow has disappeared that the chickens ventured out in the morning. They spent a couple of hours picking through places they haven't been able to reach in months.

Just checked up on the bunny too, little Limpy seems to be doing better. He was moving the leg a lot more, even before he got his pain meds. We're going to move him into a slightly bigger crate tonight, and in a couple of days he should be good to return to the rest of the bunnies. I hope he won't be bullied though. Otherwise we'll have to put him down, which would be a bit of a shame since he's improving.

Good news on the bunny.

It is nice to incubate white eggs.... I get to see everything that is going on.

However, I have zero patience. Yeah, I know three weeks isn't that long... But the suspense still kills me.
