I have a love hate relationship with byc. AND I NEVER USE THE WORD HATE and I use it in regards to BYC.
I was mistreated by a Nazi's crazied moderator that did not like my saying I was price gutted by sellers of English Orpingtons and I was breeding my fav to sell Inexpensive. I even til them I dont ship

Except on Saturday morn at TSC swaps and the moderator suspended me with out explaination and I thought I was banned until several Days later I got several Private messages. If it had not
Been for pm I would have continued to think
I was shut out bc someone complained I was selling when I was not. I was letting people know they dont have t be cost gutted like I was. They dont have to order from the expensive hatcheries. AND YES I agree some have to pay for their costs. But when they got from Greenfire years ago,... If one wants these beauties they had to pay for them with their first born (human) and then some may die and not be replaced.

That really sucks. I've been wondering where you were. I wonder if it was the same mod that marked my clean record. I didn't even get a warning. They got nasty with me, so I went to Nifty with my questions instead.

who likes canning and what do you can? do you preserve anything for your chickens and if so what ?

You know what I can lady.

2 external pips on my eggs that are due today. All were alive last night (only 8 eggs). 4 internal pips when I upped the humidity this morning (upped it late because air cells were small and my temp had been low so I knew they'd be late). Hands off... I'll try.
Staggered hatch in one bator no hatcher so we will see... I couldn't fit anything in my bator like what bama did so.... It is what it is.

I want to soo bad but my timing sucks.
even grocery store stuff on sale usually means fresh veggies they bought too much of.... Beans Carrots cabbage Brussels sprouts beets. Not a fan of canned tomatos so I am hoping to Own it.

You know in prep for canning there is a lot of cleaning and chopping and removing tough parts... I bet you could do up a jar of goodies for the chickens No salt no oil no vinegar. Same goes for fish parts....

for that matter you could make dog and cat food....

I am hoping to do dog food.

I would definately want to lable very clearly what was what.

For me I want to can
Tuna and any other fish I can get at the Asian food store.
beef in all forms
broth
stew
ground

When i live at home electricity cant be counted on so I need to live relatively freezer free. I cook with propane and can figure a battery option for the stove ignition. But even so even If i cant heat it up Ican still eat it.
