just set up my cold frame, was gonna plant some carrots n stuff and it decided to open up and bring the rain back..well least one less thing for you to do later

IF I had chickens I would be raising tarps during the day. But this time of year the weather is blustery one day and hot the next.

We have had enough warm weather the decidouous trees are starting to get their leaves. At home there will still be frost at night. Just enough to make things white in the morning.

Down here We didnt get any frost this year. Warmish and wet. Were seeing lots of baby bunnies and hearing HUGE gatherings of Coyotes. So The wild life is catching up. Wever already got Lots of Croakie frogs .... love it when thumb nail sized ones stick themselves to the window and chirp away. BIG voices.... its amazing.

At home the toads will have come out of hibernation seeking "companionship" and will be walking about in the evening. I have NO idea where they lay their eggs or how they survive the tadpole stage but there never seems to be a year without them.

I have a late day today! Not due in work until 10am:D. Get to catch up a little with BYC, housework & my chickens. Need to fill and carry water jugs to the coop.

Spring...........um, yea. Temps are spring this week. Low of 40s-50s. Highs in low 70s. Just had snow last week. Everything has melted and it is worse than I've EVER seen it. My barn boots get stuck knee deep in the mucky mud. Hard to walk to the coop and back. Just nasty. We have thrown down boards, mulch, straw, anything we can, and the ground just swallows it.:th. We really need French drain systems ALL over the yard. We really need $$$$$$$$$ for French drain systems.

I've got pics to post, just can't figure out how to from my iPad....Vehve taught me how to from my phone and laptop. Ugh! Technology! Have a good day. Going to get the water back there & let the girls out to eat frogs!

Raz, so stinking cool!!!!!

How long does it take?

Outpost, it would be all kinds of ugly, but I would toss down pallets to walk on.

Also, do you need French drains? Could you just talk all of that water to go someplace else? Like build a dike along the upside of your property?
