How big is your plot out p triple og?

3 acres. The house & garage are on 1 1/2 acres fenced with chain link. The coop is on the other 1 1/2 acres. It's somewhat fenced-broke and rotten. We have new rolls of wire fence to put up back there, just need time, muscles, energy, and not so hot weather! :D

As of now, we let the chickens out to free range about 10-11am. All chickens run immediately to the yard. Hardly any stay in the back. Weeds, brush too thick, tall etc. I'll try to get pics to explain better.

All chicken pens will be in the middle of the property. Front part of the back if that makes sense.:D

That's why are I'm trying to limit myself to two breeds, keep wanting to make it three but don't want that many breeding pens..Flock breeding would be so much easier, but only realistically done with one breed.

Wish I went 3x7 with my breeder coop..Just threw together 4x8 then had fun figuring out the roof with the material I had left...
I was hoping to be able to move it easy, doable kinda, needs wheels.

Heya, deb!

The Squirrelinator works! I saw ground squirrels hightailing it over the veggie compound fence where they were sampling either the strawberries or the gooseberries at 2:00 p.m. I unpacked The Squirrelinator, baited it with unshelled peanuts and at 3:30 I had one squirrel and by 5:00 there were two (now former varmints) trapped. I'll leave it in the compound overnight, but will probably move it to the front of the house where they're bouncing out of the cedar berm and scampering up the pecan trees. We have a horrible rodent problem, mainly rabbits by population....but the squirrels are the most destructive.

DH is VERY happy the device works as we witnessed a ground squirrel snatch a baby quail the other day and disappear down its den hole with Mama Quail frantically flying after it. Nasty things!

Picture time!
I need advice too. I have this blue copper French marans.

One is a blue copper French marans, the other a black copper.
Do I breed blue to blue? Or blue to black?:idunno. It's my understanding that the offspring from a blue may be blue, black or splash?
