Hubby has been taking down trees and hauling to his logging camp. We have used our wood fireplace for our main heat this past winter. Gosh. Seeing this the other day and thinking things over,... I can see we should have been selling wood for furniture and Novelty items. Thank you for giving us ideas.

Not up at my house... but down in the desert then out by Fallbrook There havent been any fires in San Diego County to worry about massive mud slides but we do have a few creeks that No one realizes how deep they do get during heavy rain fall.

ONe Creek in Fall brook went from several years of bone dry to fifteen feet deep... Most had never seen more than an inch or two of water in it. A Grandfather tried to cross the creek in his car and his car was swept away. He had his six year old grand son with him. they found the grandfather right away.... it took a week and for the waters to subside for them to find the grandson.

So heart wrenching

Uck!! No thanks! :fl that works!

If I slip, please do not include that in my Obit... cuz all that will be found is some picked clean bones... :gig

That happened to a farmer down the road from DW's grandparents. He was a drunk. Hadn't been seen for awhile. All they found was his rubber boots in the pig pen.

@perchie.girl definitely heart wrenching. Especially when kids are involved. Can't play around with water. We're not prone to flooding here but did have some widespread in '06. Area firefighters said they'd rather fight fires than floods.
