There are also no sew ones...Where you measure from under wing to under wing. Then from back of neck on top to where the tail is.
Then all you do is cut a hole to slide the wind through and one to slide the tail through....usually this is made from fleece.
I combined the ideas so it was more of a... semi sew? lol
Fleece with wing guards and elastic under the wings stitched on with a button to secure it. Can't wait to try them on the girls tomorrow morning!
I tried to match the colours to my hens, Brown for Milly, Black for Ebony, Grey for Echo and beige for Heather. So I wouldn't compromise their camoflage from the hawks & eagles here (if I had camo material they would've soooo been little army chooks! And idea for the next best dressed pets at the pet expo next year me thinks!!!
). I need to make the wing gaps a bit deeper, but its ok, you get the idea lol
Heather was the only one who hung around willing to pose! She knows she's gorgeous!!!
she ran off trying to get back in the coop thinking I'm going to put another one on her
Her beak in open in every shot because all she does is talk talk talk talk talk!
I gave her a piece of meat after I took it off so she decided it was great and wouldn't get off my lap!
How did you make the "wing guards" as i need this option ??? I would love to see it drawn out on paper or something so I can get a better idea.. Thank you so muxh!!! I <3 BYC
