DIY Egg Turner

I'm collecting parts to build a large DIY Incubator and one thing has me stumped...
I don't know what to use for egg turning.
I do not like the ready made turners. They look fiddly and weak to me. I've already got the base I want to turn eggs on so I'm trying to decide what kind of motor to tilt it with.
The typical wee little motor is referred to as synchronous, right?

What about automotive window motors? (I have some access to parts that make cost a non-issue IF I can be flexible with what to choose).
I think maybe I just don't understand the motion of a window motor. The ones I was looking at are solid metal parts, like a scissor jack.

Any other ideas? I want to make something cool and resilient.

* The "tray" to be tipped is heavy'ish (stainless steel!) and can work in halves or together.
Is there a reason to have several rows tilting versus one big tray tilting? I would assume if the incubator temperature was not even throughout, it would expose eggs to warm and cold spots, but that might not be an issue if the incubator climate is sufficiently controlled?
