DIY incubator

I had put down a roo, a cull but still hoped eggs from that rooster. (pure SFH crested)and so let a hen have some eggs, then, a hawk took a diff roo, I put some in incubator. Hoping for that roo. Eggs from first hen were clear, not fertile- but 2 days later someone laid a fertile egg in nest that had the clear eggs. The incubator eggs had 2 clears and the others were fertile. I didn't want a ton of birds just hoping for some from the roosters i lost. My roosters and my hens were young-ish so it is understanding some eggs were clear. Just hoping for the last eggs at this point

Through the efforts from a man who dare to dream and defy the odds..... through these tough times and dark days, a courageous man stood up and took it upon himself to show compassion and pity for those that have passed on........ may the legacies of the brave fallen roosters live on through 'gimmie birdies'. And to this man, I proudly salute you.

My temps in incubator can fluctuate if the temps out side fluctuate My incubator is in my house but I am having to adjust to the cold that wants to get in. I had been getting even outside temps, for the first week, then I had a cold snap, which I had to bundle up the incubator, then 2x I saw the temp jumped to 2 degrees over what i wanted. outside temps are back to normal. After pulling my clears and 2 quitters, I currently have 5 left. They are due on diff days, The first one due is the 13/14th but it is a big egg so it may take more time. I have one due the 16th, and the others are due some time after that, 17/18th. May June come quickly.

I put my incubator in a walk in closet and use a small heater with a thermostat to even out the temps in the room
