Finished up a coop today. Well, mine are never "finished"...Put a sliding door on this one to try it. :) and an automatic cup water system is going in this weekend to feed both this coop and one of the hoop coops. Wish us luck lol

Very nice. What is that material on the roof? I am at the roof phase of mine and plan to put singles, but my mind is open.

This is not much of an invention but It's a good idea. Our chickens get to be in the garden over winter, the only spot we could dig deep enough, and we had a 100 gal. water trough that ha a crack in one side. It is intended for the two ducks.

Our hastily made Frankenbrooder.

A roadside found cupboard tipped on it's back, some old pallets and a bit of old bed frame repurposed and we have more suitable space for our recent hatch. It kind of got out of control from our usual set of 12 eggs to 47! We ended up with a heap of clears but still hatched 27 fluffies.

Total cost, $0, total time, about 2 hours.

We used wire with tarp secured to it. The rains here can be as brutal as the sun so the tarp allows us to put "wings" on sides down to break sideways rain or wind if need be. These are our semi-permenent coops, both this new one and the hoop coop can be relocated fairly quickly should they need to be.
We shingled our permanent coop but preferred the tarps for water leakage issues along sides for new ones.

Great reuse!

He set up an auto waterer with cups today!I think the Rabbit man has a soft spot for my chickies! Lol
He ran cups to the hoop coop for the meaties and to the new layer coop off the same tank.
35 gallon tank used, three 8ft PVC pipes, 6 nipple cups and some PVC glue.
We had most of it around, had to buy the cups, PVC water safe glue ($6) and a screw coupling ($6) to be able to unattach tank from pipes when needed and clean.
