DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

Looks cool! I did this with a feed bag cut into strips (2 of them actually, offset, so they overlapped at the flaps) to hopefully prevent flies from coming in the coop as much. That, coupled with metal window mesh over the inside of their windows (which is over heavy duty animal wire to prevent any one from getting in) seemed to do a great job in preventing as many flies from getting in. And a well placed fly tape to get those that did...

This gave me some ideas. I was thinking I could Velcro the strips to cover the whole front of my shelter and Velcro solid weighted plastic on the sides. I am going to put my sleeping coops in the shelter, but here in LA they get too hot with walls, so I could take the walls down in summer. I can visualize it working. It really got me thinking about removable walls to go from winter to summer.

Eactly! I have seen that done just like that before on other threads- velcro included! Good ideas come back around, evidently.
