DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

Not an invention but an improvement on my other bucket.... The half circle is better for water.

VERY interesting.... Good reason to have a porch.... But I suspect the Rails are cheaper. Wow Two feet has got to be heavy....

Most snow I ever experienced was in Roswell NM... Back in the late 50s.

We had ice last winter. Snow on the roof, then ice then more snow. Come spring when it all came down, it was 8"+ slabs, 3 to 4 feet wide and twice as long. I have no idea what each weighed but I would bet that if I had gotten to putting up the railing on the back deck, it wouldn't be there any more. Those things hit hard and bounced right off the deck. It mangled the plumbing vent flange so badly I wasn't believing the replacement from the roofers was the same thing until I had the original off the roof.

Funny, few of the pictures I find show them well. I noticed them on Felix's house when he posted coop pictures

Here is one that at least gives you the general idea though mine is a 2 pipe system, not a flat bar and I'll have 2 sets, one over the bearing wall and one 4.5' up from those. I'll take pictures if I ever manage to get them installed!

I have finally finished this thread. Such amazing ideas. I say thank you to all of you inventive and creative people, my husband grumbles in your general direction as his Honey-Do list has grown by leaps and bounds :D
Now to see how many of these ideas I can also use for goats!
