That was what I used.... I don't think we used any regulator for it. I will get pics tomorrow. Hubby pulled it out yesterday and said "Do you still want this?" YEAH! we don't throw felxwatt away. I didn't understand how the expensive ones worked.... now that I know the chicks NEED TO TOUCH it maybe it will work. I probably had it too high for them to really get warm. They were on top as much as they were under it... got very dirty.

I am finding so many things that are just thrown away at my new job in produce that can be repurposed to hatching eggs and brooding chickies. So I don't know if those boxed tangerines called Halos are everywhere but the customers often don't take the boxes with them just the bags so I am thinking that they will make good separator boxes to keep hatching chicks from mixing the breeds up.

I also scored a disposable plastic racks that grapes come in that I am heat testing right now with my Chestobator to see if it will stand up to temperatures. If it goes all soft and limp it won't work but I may figure some other purpose for it. If it does with some firming of the structure (PVC pipe) it will become my hatching trays in my Dishobator (dishwater incubator).

If it doesn't work for that (or even if it does) they will become drying racks for my wool.

Hubby set up an auto waterer for the rabbitry. Well 3 of then, one to feed each column of cages as well as hooked the resivore buckets up to the spicket for quick fill with a hose. Could leave the hose "on" but we don't want a flood telling us there is an issue lol so we leave it hooked up and "off". Plus this helps usmeasure water needed. I'm soooo happy I don't have to carry water jugs out now my hubby is amazing at making things easier for us

I also feed hay multiple tines a day to cut down on them soiling it and waste...got tiring. Now I stuff elbows full and they take what they need. Hardly any waste now! Love it. They play leap frog over then too lol
