DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

Here is my shipping crate brooder. The lid is a $5 piece of 3/8" plastic and two $.50 door hinges from the Habitat Homestore. the roosts are crape myrtle branches - sturdy and really smooth bark.

Great repurposing.

I forgot to mention I have 5 names so far:
Henny, Penny, Bertie, Gertie (hens) and George (rooster) any other names would be helpful (need 6 more LOL)

It was a cover for a trailer for a Billy Cart or something like that for racing.

My chicken yard is kind of wide open and boring so I pulled some old hollowed out cedar stumps out of the woods and put them together as a sort of jungle gym.

Old stumps are great for chicken runs.....lots of bugs in them, and you can move them every other week or so as bugs will gather under them too.
