Great idea with the fish. Anytime I pick em up they go straight to the ducks. Now I have to build bigger waterers just to put some in. Lol.

Kinda on the same topic, I bought a Sears Kenmore washer and matching dryer the week we found out we were expecting our son. We already had two daughters, ages 2 and 4, and I was tired of going to the laundromat three times a week. The washer finally went to wherever good washers go in 1994. The dryer we finally replaced in 2013. It was purchased in 1972...our son was born in early '73. That means that faithful dryer dried our clothes, my grandkids' clothes and my great grandson's clothes (when they came for a visit) until it was 41 years old.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled thread........
Howdy, I was looking in a chicken supply book and saw this egg washing bucket setup. Has anyone bought one? I wonder how hard it would be to make one. It says you add water and egg wash, put the eggs in the basket, some sort of weight on top and hook an air compressor and let her rip! I figure I can use a wire egg basket inside a 5 gallon bucket, not sure what to use to weigh the eggs down gently with. another does anyone know what the wash soap is made of? thinking of a cheap solution to use for I cant afford to ship it to my house. any ideas or suggestions would be great! thanks
Washing the eggs for eating. I live in canada though
saw this egg washing bucket setup.
That looks just like what FarmerBrowne was looking to make. In fact I accidentally found the web site it came from. There are instructions on how to make it:

Not sure why you would need to weigh the eggs down at all. They are BAD If they don't stay down on their own! Plus, while I can't see such a contraption cleaning much of anything off eggs that truly need to be washed (other than due to government regs) I think they would need to be able to move around some to let all the surfaces come in contact with the solution.
