Hi everyone!! I made a chicken water for my little chicks and they are already using it like crazy! It keeps out all the mess they make and keeps the water fresh so they don't get sick!!

Please tell me what you guys think or let me know where I can improve on it:)

Got those exact ones. Really cheap. Works best with heavier plastic containers but I love them. Drill a hole, screw it in, and you're done. And yes, it needs to not be air tight or it won't work. Many cut the bottom off a jug and hang them upside down with the hole in the cap.

Chicks catch on almost instantly but the older ones take a while to figure it out. I solved that by waiting till the chicks were big enough to go in with the big girls, and the 'babies' taught the grownups.

So what did you search on Amazon exactly to find those? I like the idea, because trying to keep the water clean is an impossible dream with the usual chick waterers. :)

I like this idea a lot. Since it drips a little when they drink from it do you find that the shaving are getting excessively wet?

Very cheap! The chicks are loving this nipple and so am I because the water is clean and I don't have to keep cleaning the water tray I was using:)

Found out right after I put water in it and started to push the nipple. No water! LoL!! Easy fix:)

They took to it very fast!
