DNA kit?

Okay this guy is selling "pairs of young peachicks" and a friend of mine said that he buys a DNA kit and does the DNA at home.
Is there a such thing? I have never heard of it and I'm wondering if he is just pairing up birds of his on guesses.

Hmm. He could if he had some medical/chemistry equipment and the knowledge to use it it but you can never tell.

I have heard we are close to having affordable DIY home testing but as far as I know, they are not available yet. We test every chick here at Spring Creek, we send out blood samples to IQ Bird Testing and it gets really expensive when you are doing hundreds of birds but in the end, the customer pays for the convenience of getting what they want early. I also do our fecal exams here at home, which has saved a lot of birds' lives.

Heh. If it's anything like running a human test, I'm going to say no. Or I would say it would have to be incredibly simplistic and probably not very informative or accurate.
