I have what I was told was a black australorp but from everything I've read so far the main description for them was black feathers with a green sheen to them. She is solid black with no green sheen to her at all. I have another black chicken that's a black sex link that has a green sheen so I know what it looks like...

The green sheen varies from bird to bird. Some have a lot of sheen, and others don't. It is very likely that she is still an Australorp.

Agreed. I've ordered BAs over the years from 4 different hatcheries and some of them have more of a green sheen (particularly when standing in sunlight) than others. I have not been able to see a green sheen at all in some of them.
