Do all chicks do this?

My 1 1/2 month old chick like runs around and jumps like crazy, like basically flying around my room when I let he/she out. It runs at me when I’m walking around my room like she/he’s gonna attack (it doesn’t, its like he/she playing lol) I was sitting down and it ran over and it’s neck feathers poof up like a roosters does when it’s about to attack, if I’m just laying on the floor while its out and I’m like raising up my foot, she/he will get all fussy and extend its neck. I thought it was weird and was just wondering why lol. (I’m sorry I’m calling it “it” still not sure about gender.) Does anyone else’s chick(s) do this?

This is a common behavior. :) While I'm unsure as to the true reasoning behind it, my last group of pullets lower their heads and have a good scamper every few minutes.

That said, your pretty bird is a cockerel (based upon comb development, not habits, which aren't indicative of gender). :D

All chicks will do that, it's not a gender specific behavior.
How many birds do you have and why are they in your bedroom?
They'd do better out in a coop and run.
I live in Michigan. There would be no way for me to put any of my chicks outside, it’s basically winter right now and snow is everywhere and if I’m lucky the temps get up to about maybe 20° everyday. I do take them outside when it’s actually nice enough and let them have some fresh air. Besides that I let them run around my house in a homemade diaper while I’m doing things.
