Hello I have 8 eggs and I pretty sure 7 out of the 8 have embryos, the white eggs have a little embryo and I can see the heart beating but the Easter egger eggs and the brown eggs have a larger embryo but it’s dark so I can’t see a heart beat. What do you think?
p.s it’s only day 5, I added a picture of the white egg but I don’t have a picture of the brown or blue

Coloured eggs are a pain to candle! I much prefer white ones.

Just make sure you rearrange your eggs every few days in the incubator as that evens out any warm or cold spots (all incubators seem to have them) as that can speed up some and slow down others.

If you are not squeamish this is an interesting look at an actual chick foetus on each day of incubation: https://the-chicken-chick.com/chicken-embryo-development-graphic/
