Do all peacocks do fine in the winter???

I am gonna get some peacocks ......a woman contacted mw with 2 pairs of them and one of the males is an emeral green is this the same as a java green and if i get this male will he do well during the winter i live in northern Maine so sometime are winters are very cold.......and i herd java green's don't do good in cold weather ?? is this true??

An Emerald Green is just a fancy name so people thank there getting something different, but in reality it is just a Spalding (blue cross Java) you will need good shelter so they can get out of the weather you shouldn't need heat But the best thing to do is get a 2x6 for the roost lay it flat rap it with carpet so they can put there feet under them to keep them warm. But someone who lives in that part of the country will probably have a better idea for you.

If the Male was a Pure Java Muticus you would more then likely have to heat your building.
