Do all pullets squat in the days/weeks before starting to lay?

Do pullets ever lay without squating or exhibiting other behaviors? I have a Barred Rock that is about 21 weeks, red comb, red wattles, plump as a butterball, two fingers fit between the pelvic bones and not a squat in sight? Is she just giving me the "bird" until she's good and ready

Mine usually squat for me, make the bok bok sounds, and some sit on the nest and practice, LOL. Usually.
