Do all turkey breeds go Broody?

Do they? And if they don't, can you give me a list of the ones that do? I am wanting to get some turkeys and want some that can hatch their own eggs.

I don't think the broad breasted varieties generally last long enough to, and even if they do, the eggs probably aren't fertile eggs because they have issues breeding. If you want them to breed without any problems, try heritage breeds or domesticated wild turkeys.

All the heritage breeds will sit and hatch. The older they get the more they tend to go broody I have noticed, we rotate our birds every 3 years and by the time a hen is 3 they are much more broody than yearlings. It's also something you can encourage, a hen hatched by a hen vs incubated will be much more likely to sit herself. The ones that we have that are the least broody are the Beltsville Small White.
