Do all viable eggs move/rock??

Nervous newbie hatcher question. My eggs are on day 20. After a major shipping delay and a catastrophic incubator failure on day 14, I don’t have a ton of hope for these guys, but still have fingers crossed. I candled at lockdown and 4 eggs still had good internal movement, air cells looked good, and had lost 10-13% egg weight. No external pips yet. I don’t dare open the incubator to candle for internal pips. But none of my eggs are visually moving/ rocking/ chirping like I hear described. Does that mean they’re dead, or do not all eggs show external signs of life?? I’d be shocked if anyone makes it, but will still be sad too. When do I call it, day 23?? Thanks!!

i would call it on day 25 personally, but some can hatch as late as day 28 (rarely though)
I'm not too sure about the rocking or movement of the eggs, but I really hope they hatch!

Not every living egg will rock, don't worry

Nope, not every egg that hatches will wiggle/rock or peep. Sometimes, they're just quiet and still...until they're not. Best wishes for your hatch!

I didn't see any movement, or hear any chirps, whatsoever from my quail eggs before they had hatched.

I’ve hatched chicken and quail. Not all of them wiggle.

I've never noticed wiggling in any of my hatches to be honest. Chirping yes, but only from a few each hatch not every one.
