If you’re talking about black split to lavender orpingtons, they would look outwardly identical to regular black orpingtons.

I don't know how they'll do in my heat, but they were a gift and are so VERY beautiful.

Those are rose combs (from the wyandotte in the cross).

The photo doesn't do the green sheen justice.

Up until the latest molt their color was this incredible, light-swallowing, matte black. Not just black, but BLACK.

Now it's the most amazing beetle green.
