That’s interesting!!Actually, this thread is making me realize the ones with "y" at the back of their name know their name with much less effort! Lady, Kacey, Worldie, etc. They know I'm talking to them! They respond the best to "come" otherwise, though. No clue why, but they know "come" and tapping as a jump on this surface now kind of command for if I want them on my shoulders.

Most of mine know or knew theirs, as follows:As much as I laughed at this (and you're probably right about the repetition), I have heard that animals have an easier time learning their names if they're 2-syllable and end in an "E" sound. Wondering if there's some truth to that with chickens!
You know, mine will come running if I bongo on their plastic bucket. There's never been treats involved, so it's a huge mystery. Maybe we need to rethink what a name means to a chicken. Yours are clearly invigorated by your frustration!![]()
