Hi there!

I'm wondering if I buy one or two sheeps, since I love :love the way they look and in order to spend less time cutting grass. I'm not sure if this will be really a good idea... I have 1.4 hectares of almost grass. I do have some fruit trees, palms and will have a little orchard. Are sheeps "destructive"?

I'll be looking forward for your recommendations and ideas :thumbsup

I'm sorry if my english is hard to understand :D

Thanks!!!

I forgot to ask something..
I have some bushes, flowers.. blueberries... I was wondering if a sheep will eat this kind of plants. If I get sheeps, will desappear all this kind of plants? Will they eat them? Once I heard that sheeps only like to eat what is at the floor level (grass and weed), but that doesnt make any sence for me.. do you have any experiences about this?

Thanks!

BYC has a wonderful sister site called backyardherds.com you might consider asking your questions there.
I do know sheep require lots of grass for grazzing and will clear out a pasture, roots and all, quickly.
Best of luck you...:love

Hi
I have 8 sheep.
They will ring a tree if they feel like it. So best to wire around the trees you want to keep.
They do love grass and eat a lot! They will clear a fence line of overgrown grass and love that Brazilian Pepper tree.
They don’t jump on things and get silly crazy like goats but they are demanding for grain and hay and can be pushy.
Baby doll sheep are small, sweet and manageable if they are your first time sheep.
Two is best they like to be together.
